The EXOFI Wolf Rock 42 Looks Slick. I Want to See the Finishing.

The EXOFI Wolf Rock 42 looks slick and well proportioned. My first-look rating is 82/120 bezel clicks; I still want to see the finishing in person.

EXOFI is a bit of a mystery to me. I'd never really heard of the brand before this, and the Wolf Rock 42 looks like it might be its whole watch lineup at the moment. My first reaction is that it's a pretty slick-looking watch, and I'm giving it 82 out of 120 bezel clicks.

There's a lot of Seiko SPB143 and 62MAS in the way I read the design, with something familiar from Citizen as well. The EXOFI feels a little blockier in the photos, especially around the indices. That's probably the word I'd use for it.

It's an interesting design, and it looks well proportioned. I have no idea what the finishing is actually like in person.

The shape and the surfaces

The official specifications put the steel case at 42 mm across, 49.8 mm lug to lug and 12.6 mm thick including the crystal, with 22 mm lugs. EXOFI lists a 200 m water-resistance rating, a screw-down crown, a double-domed sapphire crystal and a ceramic bezel insert.

The broad rectangular markers and chunky hands are a big part of that blockier appearance to me. There's a matte black dial, a date at six and luminous hands, markers and bezel markings. The watch comes on black FKM rubber.

You can see the mix of brushed surfaces and polished details in the brand's photographs, including the chamfers and the area around the crown guard. EXOFI describes polished chamfers against brushed case surfaces. That's the combination I'm reacting to when I say it looks slick; I still want to see how those surfaces actually turn out on a real watch.

Inside is the automatic Miyota 9015, with a stated 42-hour power reserve. My 82/120 rating is a first look from the photographs and specifications. I haven't handled this watch or tested the movement, bezel action or case finishing.

The price looks relatively reasonable

Time+Tide's October 19, 2026 feature quotes $590 USD before tax. EXOFI's site displays Australian-dollar pricing by default, so I'm using the published USD figure rather than converting that store price myself. Tax and delivered cost still need checking for an actual order. Time+Tide's pricing and availability.

That looks relatively well priced to me for the watch being shown. The Time+Tide feature is marked as a partnership with EXOFI.

I wouldn't be surprised if this did well, and I'm interested to see how the brand ends up doing. Hopefully we'll get some hands-on reviews over the next few months, because the finishing is the part I still can't judge from these pictures.
