Citizen Zenshin 60 Mechanical

The Citizen Zenshin 60 Mechanical (NK5020) is an everyday sports watch from Citizen: a 40.5 mm Super Titanium case, 11.25 mm thick and 47.5 mm lug to lug, with an automatic 8322 movement and 100 m water resistance.

Going by its 47.5 mm lug to lug, it should sit within the flat top of a wrist of about 6.4 inches (16.4 cm) or larger.

Research found it at $775 list in the US (checked August 2026).

Holden’s take

This is the value play in my collection: Super Titanium, a small seconds, a 60-hour automatic and a modern integrated case for around $400, which is hard to argue with.

What the research found

These are the research’s judgments, scored against Holden’s priorities, not his own words.

Strengths

  • Super Titanium + Duratect: light, hypoallergenic, and far harder than steel — real material substance for the money [1][3]
  • 60 h in-house 8322 with hacking and display back [3][4]
  • Coherent identity: 12-sided bezel, 4:30 small seconds, gradient brushed dials — integrated feel without copying anyone [3][4]
  • Sapphire, 100 m WR, 5-year warranty at ~$620 street [2]

Weaknesses

  • Loose accuracy spec (-20/+40 s/d) for 2025 [3]
  • 3 Hz beat and modest decoration — engineering is honest, not fine [3]
  • No lug-width flexibility / limited strap options [3]
  • Micro-adjust and taper undocumented; clasp is functional-grade
