Will it fit?

What the research found
These are the research’s judgments, scored against Holden’s priorities, not his own words.
Strengths
- Class-leading complication density for the money: column-wheel chronograph + complete calendar (day, month, pointer date) + moonphase + 24-hour for US$4,250
- 2026 dial is a genuine upgrade over the outgoing model: applied (not printed) blue numerals and applied logo, cohesive typography, no numerals cut off by subdials, sloped rehaut removed for a flatter, more open dial
- Serious movement engineering at the price: column wheel, free-sprung balance with silicon hairspring, 66-hour reserve, 28,800 vph, visible Côtes de Genève/perlage and blue column wheel through the caseback
- Slimmed to 13.8mm (from ~14.2mm prior gen) and consolidated to one well-proportioned 41mm size
- Tool-less micro-adjustment on both the bracelet clasp and the leather-strap folding clasp
- 5-year warranty; identical pricing for strap and bracelet — Hodinkee calls the bracelet 'a no-brainer'
Weaknesses
- Only 30m water resistance — splash-proof, not a daily-wear-with-confidence watch
- 13.8mm thick with 48.6mm lug-to-lug — substantial on the wrist; Watch Advice flags thickness for smaller wrists
- Busy dial with many indications — not for minimalists ('may not be to everyone's liking' per Watch Advice; a Monochrome commenter called it the 'mall watch look')
- Complete calendar, not annual — needs manual correction after short months (inherent to the Valjoux 7751 architecture)
- No lume reported anywhere; legibility in the dark unverified
- Longines-exclusive movement means some parts only via Swatch Group, despite the common 7751 base
