This Is the Best-Looking Seiko Marinemaster So Far

The green HBF003 is my favorite Marinemaster so far. A first look, 112/120 bezel clicks, and a clearly labeled $3,900 USD estimate.

I'm a huge fan of the Seiko Marinemaster, and the green HBF003 Save the Ocean is the best-looking one so far. It's very high on my list of watches that I don't have money for and that I really, really, really want.

I haven't been hands-on with a Marinemaster, so this is a first look based on Seiko's specifications and official imagery. But the proportions and the way Seiko brings this watch together are exactly why I keep coming back to it. Watches like this show how much Seiko can do beyond the budget end of its catalog.

The green Marinemaster

The HBF003 is a 900-piece Seiko Boutique limited edition inspired by mangrove forests. Seiko pairs the green dial with a pink-gold-colored seconds hand, a black ceramic bezel insert and a steel bracelet. The case follows the design of Seiko's 1968 diver, with the crown down at four o'clock.

The case measures 42.6mm across and 49.3mm lug to lug, with a dual-curved sapphire crystal and 300m of water resistance. There's LumiBrite on the hands, markers and bezel, and a screw-down crown and caseback. The bracelet's clasp has a sliding adjustment system offering up to 16mm of extension in 2mm increments.

Inside is Seiko's automatic 8L45, with manual winding, a 72-hour power reserve and a stated accuracy of −5 to +10 seconds per day. Those are the specifications behind the watch; my reaction to how it looks is considerably less restrained. Seiko specifications.

Yes, it's thick. I still want it.

The only gripe I might have is the 14.1mm thickness. That's a chunky watch, and I haven't put it on my wrist to find out how that translates in person.

But it also has 300m of water resistance, and when I look at the size and the whole bold design, the thickness probably isn't going to bother me that much. I'm completely willing to look past it and be biased because I'm a huge Seiko fan. Honestly, I don't really have anything bad to say about this one.

Price and availability

For now, I'm using $3,900 USD as a working estimate, dated October 21, 2026. That matches the limited-edition HBF002 on Seiko's US site; the standard black HBF001 is $3,600. This is an estimate for the HBF003, not a confirmed US retail price. HBF002, HBF001.

Seiko's UK boutique lists November 1, 2026 availability. US pricing and availability remain unconfirmed.

112 out of 120 bezel clicks. I haven't handled it, I can't afford it right now, and I really want one.
