This Seiko × TiCTAC Looks a Lot More Expensive Than $348

The Seiko × TiCTAC HZB002J looks expensive, costs about US$348 converted from Japan retail, and gets 93/120 bezel clicks. First look, not hands-on.

The Seiko × TiCTAC HZB002J has me trying to figure out how to get a Japan-market watch to the US, because this thing looks a lot more expensive than it is. At roughly $348, I think it’s a very good deal. Even the bracelet looks like it might come out alright.

That dollar figure needs some context. TiCTAC’s Japanese price is ¥55,000 including Japanese consumption tax. Converted on October 22, 2026, that’s approximately US$348, before any shipping, import charges or payment-provider conversion fees. It is not a confirmed US retail price or a delivered-to-my-door total.

This is the new Vintage White version of Seiko’s existing TiCTAC collaboration. Reservations opened October 21, and the Japanese release is October 24. The reference is HZB002J. The existing case and movement carry over with the new dial execution.

What gets me is the dial. You have Arabic numerals only at 12 and 6, that off-white background and the kind of faux-tina indices that give the whole thing its character. TiCTAC says the colour of those markers takes inspiration from aged tritium paint.

The result looks classic to me, but that particular combination also gives it something of its own. I keep coming back to how well proportioned the package looks. These are first impressions from the official photographs and specifications, and I want to find out how it comes together in person.

At 40 mm across and 11 mm thick, it lands right in what I would think is my sweet spot, and probably a lot of other people’s too. TiCTAC lists a 48 mm lug-to-lug length, 20 mm strap width and a steel bracelet. I want to know how that bracelet feels, but for now I’m encouraged by what I can see.

Inside is Seiko’s 4R35 automatic, with hand-winding, hacking seconds, a date and approximately 41 hours of power reserve. The crystal is curved Hardlex, and water resistance is 100 metres. Those are the published specifications; I haven’t tested the accuracy, finishing or fit.

Getting one is the part that has me a little salty. TiCTAC’s online store lists Japan-only delivery and excludes forwarding orders. A US release or a straightforward approved shipping route hasn’t been confirmed. I bet this colour sells out, but that’s my prediction, not a stock report.

I’m giving it 93 out of 120 bezel clicks. I don’t know a ton about it yet, and I probably won’t have an easy time acquiring one. I really like what I’m seeing, and yes, the difficulty getting it is making me salty.
